Ignore the Fans

In life we all have our fair share of tests and trials. No one can go through them for us, however, there are those who feel the need to let you know what you should and shouldn’t do while facing your life’s challenges. It’s like watching football, I am great for yelling at the QB for not throwing the ball to a particular player, though I’m not the one in the game. I can easily say what the coach, GM, owner, or other players should and shouldn’t do…I’m not the one in the game. The fans have a lot to say about how the game should and shouldn’t be played, but they’re just fans, not playing the game.

So, I encourage those of you who are facing life’s challenges, “Don’t listen to the fans while you’re playing the game.”

They’re not the ones taking the hits, you are! They’re not the ones sitting up at night praying and believing God for that breakthrough or for things to turn around, you are! They don’t have to maintain integrity in all situations (though you may want to act out), you do! They’re not willing to give up all for the sake of the Gospel, you are!

The fans don’t know the plan for your life, but God does! (Jeremiah 29:11) So remember this light affliction is but for a moment and it is working in you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17)
