Living the Life God Designed for Us

There is a life designed for us by the Lord. That life has a pattern for us to follow in order to truly see the true blessings and favor of the Lord in our lives. Deuteronomy 28 lays out a pattern for the real blessings of God to be poured into our lives. Listen as Minister Crittendon expound on the Word of God about the blessings overtaking you. Be Blessed!

Stop Fighting and Start Praising

After listening to a sermon a few weeks ago, I realized there is an improper operation of God’s Word. Let me explain. I have heard people say they’ve been fighting the Devil, the Devil is busy, and the Devil is on me to name a few. Now granted this can be true, however, these things should not be our focus.

First the Bible says, “Exodus 14:14 (KJV)  The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” This right here informs me that when trying times come our way, we are not to run our mouth regularly about what the enemy is doing, we are to stand still and know that He is God. We stand still by seeking His face, and standing on his word.

In 2 Chronicles 20 three enemies came against Jehoshaphat and he sought the Lord and proclaimed a fast. In the last part of verse 15 the Lord spoke and said, “the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

The Lord defends those who seek Him, and walk upright before Him. Many afflictions are of the righteous, but the Lord will deliver us out of them all. This lets me know that within ourselves we do not have the capacity to defeat a spritual enemy, but through Christ we can do ALL things, and we are more than conquerers through HIM!

This brings me to my closing point. In the 21st to the 24th verse of 2 Chronicles 20 we see that Jehoshaphat appointed singers to praise the beauty of holiness and to go before the army and to Praise the Lord for his mercy endureth forever. In verse 22 the scripture says that as they began to sing and praise, the Lord set up ambushments, and in the end of verse 23 the scripture says that they (their enemies) destroyed one another.

There are many places in the Bible that speaks of us Praising God will destroy your enemy (Jericho). We are not to fight the enemy, the only fight we are to have is the good fight of faith. We do this by standing on God’s Word, declaring it in our situation, and waiting for it to be manifested in our lives.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (KJV)  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Stop fighting and start praising. Praise should always be our weapon of choice because praise destroys our enemy. Praise the Lord in the midst of your testing time and allow the Lord to give you the victory and the spoils of your enemy. Until next time, Be Blessed!

Vote or Pray?

I have been bothered by some things Christians have been saying about the upcoming election, and the candidates. As Christians we have to be mindful of how we conduct ourselves. The scriptures says in John 17:14 that we are not of this world, however, the Lord has left instructions for us while we are in it.

Now, before we get started I have to admit I have been guilty of bad mouthing those who are in authority, and voicing my opinion of what God should and should not do. Then I was reminded of the scripture which says, “For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?” We have to be careful when we begin to say what God will and will not do because we do not know what He is going to do until He is ready to reveal it. When it comes to government or political officials, we are tasked to pray for them, not criticize them. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” We are to pray for our leaders, so we can be in peace with ourselves and our God; believing they will be saved. We can’t say who will and will not be saved because someone at one time said you could never be saved, and look at you now.

Let’s look at another set of scripture. Solomon’s son Rehoboam reigned in his stead when he passed, and when he became king, all of Israel came to him asking for the yoke to be lighter than what Solomon had placed on them, and if he lighten it, they would serve him forever. So Rehoboam told them to leave and come back in 3 days and he would give them an answer. Rehoboam consulted the advisors who instructed Solomon on what to do, and the old advisors told Rehoboam to serve them, and speak kind to them and they will serve you forever. But, Rehoboam didn’t listen to them, instead he listened to his friends he grew up with, and they instructed him to make the burden heavier on the people. When the people came back after the 3 days, Rehoboam instructed them that the burden was gonna be heavier than what Solomon had on them, but the scripture said “Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.” And that word was that the Lord was going to rend the kingdom from Solomon because his heart turned from the Lord (read 1 Kings 11, 12). Of course you know the people fought against his decision.

Romans 13 talks about submitting to authority because every power that be is ordained by God. If we fight or resist, we are fighting and resisting God. I am not saying who you should or should not vote for, but one thing I do know is this: casting your vote on Jesus will guarantee you having a candidate who will supply all of your needs and give you peace in your tough situations. Jesus will hear your concerns and fight your battles. He will always make decisions which will benefit you! Pray for the leaders of this land, and place them in the hands of the Lord because this is how we, the saints of the Most High God, will have peace when everyone else is in turmoil. Be Blessed!

Habitation pt.2 01/20/2016

In order to be delivered from the world’s system of doing things (which is the lust of the flesh; the lust of the eyes; and the pride of life), we must turn aside from our course of action and began to turn the way the Lord has designed for us to walk. When we begin to turn and see things God way, He will begin to reveal Himself to us.
