Don’t be Troubled

As I think back on the message I heard on Sunday, there is a part of the scripture that stands out to me; “Don’t let your heart be troubled.” This let’s me know that I will have concerns, problems, worry, or have anxious feelings about decisions.

Though I may experience all of these feelings I am assured by God’s Word that the things which were written aforetime were written for my learning, that I through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Though everything around me may be filled with fear, and anxiety, I am assured by God’s Word that I have nothing to fear for he holds my heart in his hand.
There may be turmoil in your life right now and everything and everyone may be gripped with fear, but you have assurance in God’s Word to not fear and to not let your heart be troubled. Believe in Christ! Believe in God’s Word and he will settle your heart and give you peace in the midst of the storm.
Until next time #beblessed✌

Run to the Mountain!!!

deputy droopy 2

There is a cartoon about a dog named Droopy, and Droopy’s responsibility was to watch the safe which was full of gold while the sheriff took guard in the other room. Before the sheriff took his position, he instructed Droopy to make a noise or sound if anything were to happen, and he would come in shooting and blasting away.

When the thieves came in to make an attempt to steal the treasure, Droopy set up obstacles that prevented the thieves from stealing the treasure. This is the same method that we as Christians should use in order to protect the treasure the Lord has placed inside of us. We should guard our treasure with everything that is in us because our thief, “the devil” is doing all he can to rob us of the gift of life that the Lord has given us.rsz_pix_of_gold_coins

When the thieves came in to steal the treasure, they stepped on nails that were in the floor. When they attempted to holler out, they covered their mouths and ran out of the town into the mountain. Each time one of the thieves would do something that would cause them to make a noise, each one would either cover their mouth, or use an empty bottle to transfer the sound, and run to the mountain. The thieves even tied Droopy up in an attempt to get him out of the way, but that didn’t stop Droopy from accomplishing his mission by not allowing the thieves to break in and steal the treasure.

deputy droopy 3They did this so much that the thieves gave up and turned themselves in to the sheriff. They thieves said what they were going through wasn’t worth stealing that treasure. The thieves put themselves behind bars, and confessed they were outlaws attempting to steal the gold. The sheriff then replied, “I’m sorry boys, I can’t hear a word you’re saying, this battery (in the hearing aid) has been dead a week.)DEPUTY_DROOPY_thumb

The point that I am making is when the enemy comes in with an attempt to bind us up, and steal our treasure, we should make our problem run to the mountain. Every situation that is in our life should be forced to go to the mountain. It is there (on the mountain top) where we can release all of our anxieties, worries, frustrations, problems, cares, concerns, heart aches, disappointments, distresses, and whatever life has thrown at us. When we take our problems to the mountain, and keep them there, that problem will eventually have to surrender itself. When that problem surrenders itself, it will place itself right where it belongs, in the bondage that it tried to place on you!!MikeBMMTR sign

Don’t allow your problems to cause you to give up your treasure that is hidden in your earthen vessel!Earthen_Vessel_thumb[1]

Keep your eyes looking toward the hills from where your help come from, because your help come from the LORD!!!!!!!Psalm 121

Isn’t it amazing how we as a people can make a decision that we did not consult the Lord about (knowing He didn’t tell us to do it our flesh did), but then when things go sour we say, “I’m waiting on the Lord to tell me to leave…” The same person that got you in that situation is the same one that will get you out of it……YOU!!!!!

This is why it is so important to keep our minds sober at all times. We become intoxicated in our thinking when we indulge too much in our own thought process, and when we get like this we can never make sound decisions. The Lord has blessed us with the capabilities to make sound decisions but those sound decisions must line up with His Word. This is why Proverbs 16:3 says Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

No matter what we may want to do in life, commit it unto the Lord so that when He gives us an answer concerning the works of life, we can be established in His perfect peace because our minds were fixed on him, and we will be established in His peace because we have committed all of our ways unto Him.

Be blessed, and before you decide, talk with the Lord, and if He doesn’t speak right away, then He is teaching you how to be still and know that He is God.

“A person who cannot forgive has forgotten the great debt for which they were forgiven. When we realize that Jesus delivered us from eternal debt and torment, we will release others unconditionally. If we have a hard time forgiving, think of the reality of hell and the love of God that saved us from it.”
